What Has Been Happening.

Well It has been a long time since I posted anything on this blog. Just have written and posted about my disease. It seems to have driven me totally away from keeping up with all of my blogs and squidoo lenses . That is alright

So I have decided to go back and finish, or rather take over completely this whole course. .

This time I will finish and become certified.

I will be alternating posts on here about each situation..

Living Life with Hyperthyroid Disease

Living life with Hyperthyroidism is definitely something different.. In my case, diagnosis was confirmed after I had been to the doctor first with something that doctor decided was pink eye.

Six days later I was back at the doctor, this time seeing my primary care doctor. He said definitely not pink eye, one of several things. He was inclined to believe it was some strange eye infection, but recommended an ophthalmologist immediately. So off to the ophthalmologist I went.
He was inclined to believe either thyroid disease or cysts behind the eye. Blood work and or cat scan were recommended.

So back to the Primary care doctor, blood work drawn. Two days later call comes in saying Hyperthyroidism. Eye diagnosis, was Thyroid Eye Disease.

So let me tell you getting in to see an immunologist within two weeks is almost impossible. I got lucky, a cancellation allowed me to see one in two weeks.

Visit with the doctor, go take more extensive blood work. Get a call within a week, definite Hyperthyroidism. Prescription for methimazole. Thirty miligrams a day. Of course by this time doing lots of research.

At the time, I was taking some vitamins from Vitamark. They made me feel pretty good. Up until this point the one symptom, very few talk about is how fast your heart beats and how bad your chest hurts.

Alot of the independent research I had been doing was pointing to the fact that Hyperthyroidism is a result of an immune system gone wrong. Several things have been mentioned as causing this. One thing I have read is that the system gets out of whack from the lack of necessary minerals.
